Mária Rychlová

Mária was born in 1985 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since 2000 she was a student of the State Conservatory in Bratislava where she studied in the class of professor Elena Holickova. Since 2007 she is a student of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava in the class of well-known opera singer Peter Mikulas.

She won the 3rd prize at the Competition of the Slovak Conservatories (2005), the 3rd prize at the Imrich Godin´s International Vocal Competition in Vrable, Slovakia (2007), the 1st prize at the prestigious International Vocal Competition of Mikulas Schneider-Trnavsky in Trnava, Slovakia (2008), where she became also the absolute winner award of her category and she gained two special prizes as well - the Prize of Maria Kisonova-Hubova for the best performance of the compulsory song “Ruzicky“ and the Prize of the Music Center Bratislava.

Already during the studies she gave numerous successful performances in Slovakia and abroad. She made a very successful concert series with Virtuosi di Praga orchestra in 2008.

She represented Slovakia on the concert of four singers of the Visegrad countries in Budapest (April 2010). Since the season 2010 – 2011 she hosts as the soloist of the Slovak National Opera.
